Mold

Mold, visible or hidden, may cause adverse health effects.

We suggest that if you suspect, or are concerned that you may have a mold problem, that you call us and discuss the situation with one of our Certified Professionals.

An appointment for inspection and testing can be arranged at a time that is convenient for you.

We will inspect the building for "Red Flags" (possible mold sources) and evaluate the conditions for testing. Our inspection includes the use of Infrared Thermography scanning of all walls, ceilings and floors to help discover hidden moisture and possible mold sources. Other diagnostic equipment is also used during the inspection process. The testing we perform will allow us to know what type of mold is present and at what level (comparative quantities).

An assessment can then be made based on the inspection and test laboratory results as to what steps will need to be taken to correct the situation.

A written report of our findings, lab test results, and our recommendations is provided in a timely manner for your use.

We remain available for constant consultation with our clients and as a trusted resource.

We are "Family First™" and our goal is that you have a healthy and safe home or workplace.

Pre Purchase

In the last 15-20 years it has become customary for anyone buying a house or a building (new or used) to have a Pre-Purchase Home Inspection to determine the condition of the structure and all of the home's components.

Environmental testing is extra and home inspectors usually (and wisely so) defer to other experts that are far more qualified.

Buyers in New York are just starting to become more aware of how important it is to know whether they are buying a healthy or unhealthy home for their family. Also, they want to know about the costs to correct any indoor air quality problems such as mold. The cost of remediation may be as low as the cost of a new bathtub or as high as total remodeling.

We suggest that if knowing about the indoor air quality of a house you wish to purchase is important to you, then have the appropriate inspection and testing completed prior to making the purchase.

Call us at any time to discuss your concerns or set up an appointment.

Pre-Rent or Lease

Landlords and real estate agents have been telling everyone for years that many renters do not take good care of the premises and frequently leave the property or apartment in filthy or poor condition.

A new coat of paint will usually not correct a mold problem.

We suggest that if you suspect, or are concerned that there may be a mold, allergen, bacteria, or some other problem that you call us and discuss the situation with one of our Certified Professionals.
